On November 12, 1994, there was a demonstration against the Berlusconi governments plan for the revamping of social security and the reform of the pension system. As this event was being celebrated, Francesco Maselli proposed to the trade unions, CGIL, CISL, UIL, that a film be made collectively about the event. He offered to curate and coordinate all the phrases of the work on the film. The project was approved and a great number of Italian directors, cinematographers, camerapersons, and film technicians worked without pay, divided into twenty two crews. Their images and various styles bear witness to what was the largestever demonstration ever to take place in Italy.
