Résumé
Sept adolescents ont accepté de filmer leur employé(e) de maison une semaine durant. Entre moments d’intimité dérangeante, rapport d’autorité et tâches quotidiennes, le film propose un regard contemporain sur le travail domestique et se transforme en un véritable essai sur le rapport entre affects et travail. Une plongée rare dans les échos d’un passé colonial qui perdure dans les foyers brésiliens contemporains.
Seven teenagers agreed to film their domestic workers for a week. Moving between moments of disturbing intimacy, expressions of authority and daily tasks, the film casts a contemporary eye on domestic work and turns into an essay on the relationship between emotions and work. A rare insight into the echoes of a colonial past that lingers in contemporary Brazilian households.
