Essai filmique sur Padre Bernardo

French film director Paul Garnier, expert in famous men biopics, is hired by a production company related to the Catholic Church to make a film about the life of a killed monk in the Valle del Silencio.
The essay try to set up analogies between past and present, playing between fiction and non-fiction, using different ways of interpretation and representation, "breaking" the Paul Garnier´s film to bring us closer to a daily reality.
It is a cinematographic essay made of different materials and points of view such as telefilm scenes directed by the French film maker, the telefilm "making of", recreations made of files from the beginning of the XXth century; a religious baroque iconography created by Garnier to document the story and superposition material that belongs to current video files which are linked to the themes about the monk which appear in the story.
