Résumé

Pas de résumé français disponible.

Dania is 21 years old and has grown up in a Christian community on the Faroe Islands. She moves to the capital Tórshavn and meets the hip-hop artist Trygvi, aka The Silverboy, who comes from a secular family and writes dark hip-hop lyrics. Dania is the lead singer and songwriter in a Christian band, but is fascinated by Trygvi’s courage to write with brutal honesty.
In her attempt to find her place in the world, she starts to write her own lyrics that slowly become a collection of poems. As the poems take form Dania experiments on how to be young and Christian. Is it a sin to smoke? Is it a sin to drink? Is it a sin to dance? Is it a sin to have sex before marriage? Is it a sin to have a boyfriend who’s not Christian?
Skál is a coming-of-age love story about two young people who try to find and understand themselves. To do that they need each other.
