Résumé

En s'expatriant six mois dans les campagnes les plus reculées du Nord-Cameroun, la célèbre compagnie de théâtre de rue est allée à la rencontre d'un pays où le théâtre, qu'il soit indigène ou d'exportation, n'existe pas. Des lieux si éloignés que la simple tentative de photographier ses habitants y demeure téméraire.
Dans ce laboratoire théâtral est né le fils métis du "grand" Géant, immense marionnette de six mètres cinquante, dont les déambulations dans la brousse suscitent chez les villageois africains le même éblouissement et la même verve que chez les spectateurs européens au retour d'Afrique.

Having decided to settle for six months in the most remote territories of Northern Cameroon, the renowned street theatre company chose to interact with a country in which theatre, whether indigenous or imported, does not exist. Regions so distant that the very attempt of photographing their inhabitants is still an intrepid endeavour.
This theatrical laboratory gave birth to the halfcaste son of the "big" Giant, a huge puppet six and a half meters tall. Walking about in the African bush, he provoked the same elation and verve among the villagers as he generated among European spectators on his return from Africa.
This is a dreamlike and highly entertaining filmed account of the Royal's latest human and artistic adventure.
