Changing your life, settling down in the countryside, agreeable surroundings and less stress... This is what the Mendoza family came in search of when they moved from their busy hometown Marseille to the quiet little village of Dolo in Brittany. The Mendozas are taking over the village’s local shop, which was also a bakery but equally doubled as a bar. It is in fact the only shop in the village and the local downhill has invested time and money in its refurbishment, preparing it for its new owners. It all seems perfect... However there are only 400 inhabitants in Dolo and the Mendozas will need to integrate themselves into the community. The villagers are accustomed to their usual habits, so could this “family of strangers from the south” turn village life upside down... Disillusions have already begun to surface and the mayor begins to wonder if he has made the right choice. The Mendozas wonder too... The film follows the adventure of this village shop, which begins its new lease of life already confronted with difficulties. In the heart of a peaceful and traditional community, which has remained unchanged; it appears that nobody is prepared to make the first move..
