Before setting up her own business, Renata was a canteen worker in the Gdansk shipyards, at a time when the port was a hive of activity and "solidarity" was the watchword.
Today, in the small cafeteria she runs with authority, Renata continues to cater for the last dockers of the area, as she argues with her twin sister's states of mind, and has to deal with her daughter's announcement that she's decided to emigrate to England to earn more money! But Renata holds good. After all, she's always got by so far.
