Laure and Stephanie cover the news from the South-West of France on a day-by-day basis, for a TV channel, which gives non-stop news coverage. As women, mothers and also journalists on the spot, with a genuine sense of humour and self-derision, they provide the round-the-clock news with reports and linkup broadcastings. But this job does not only consist in reading a text in front of the camera. They also have to drive for hours, with their mobiles on for 24 hours, pull cables, point the satellite antenna whatever the weather conditions. We followed them in October 2010, during the social strikes against the pensions’ reform, from the port’s workers’ strikes to the risk of petrol shortage, from press conferences to street demonstrations... Between passion, tensions, fits of laughter and concessions, this film gives a comical chronicle of a job under pressure.
