Résumé

Pour aider son frère aîné Ville, handicapé mental, Veera décide de l'initier aux jeux de rôle, l'entraînant dans une touchante quête de soi.

"Veera, a young woman from Finland, lives a reality that comes with heavy traumas. Her past looms large in the form of an abusive father. In her present, she takes care of her disabled brother. Seeking escape, Veera finds herself transforming regularly into V, a brave, bold and fantastical persona who experiences adventures in mythical worlds by way of live-action role play (LARP). Here, V can fight her battles through might and majesty, gaining release from the turmoil of Veera's daily life. But the real monster continues to linger, a figure that she has yet to confront. By blending home movies, otherworldly imagery, intimate conversations and therapy sessions both traditional and transformative, The Magic Life of V showcases a girl bringing to life the hero she so eagerly wants to be."
