Résumé
Le puissant fleuve Brahmapoutre remonte à la surface, prêt à tout engloutir sur son passage. Sur une île de boue en voie de disparition, Afrin, une orpheline de 12 ans, se prépare à quitter le seul monde qu'elle ait jamais connu.
In the desolate wilderness of the disappearing islands along the Brahmaputra River, Afrin, a 12-year-old orphan, comes of age. When torrential rains and floods ravage the island of Afrin, she refuses to give in to the deadly tides. Afrin rows in a wooden boat towards the teeming metropolis of Dhaka to find her estranged father among the millions of climate refugees. Forced to grow up quickly, Afrin must confront the mysteries of a world that is sinking.
