"Avec une cinématographie époustouflante, ce film tourné sur quatre ans, explore une enfance au sein d'une culture traditionnelle victime du changement climatique. Au cours d’une sécheresse record au Kenya, la tribu turkana est confrontée à des affrontements violents avec des tribus rivales et à l'invasion de prédateurs sauvages. Kolei, un jeune berger sensible s'interroge sur son parcours de guerrier, mais aussi sur l'érosion de la culture qui a façonné tous les aspects de sa vie."
