Résumé

Pas de résumé français disponible.

All We Carry follows a young Honduran family as they flee persecution - migrating in cargo trains across Mexico, claiming asylum at the US border, and enduring separation in detention before being released in Seattle. There, a local synagogue sponsors the family for two years while they await the final decision on their asylum case. As the family tries to settle into their new home, we witness their everyday moments - both sorrowful and joyful - along the way.

"All We Carry follows young parents Magdiel and Mirna and their son, Joshua, as they flee horrific violence in their home country of Honduras. They endure a dangerous migration across Mexico in cargo trains to claim asylum at the U.S. border, only to be separated when Magdiel is detained. When he is eventually able to join his family in Seattle, they are without jobs or housing and are told that it will be two years before they can be given an asylum hearing. A local synagogue offers to sponsor the family, providing a home, employment, and an unexpected source of community, connection, and cultural exchange. Told through intimate vérité camera work, All We Carry centers the refugee experience in a moving, compassionate portrait of a family who find strength, resilience, and hope in the most challenging of circumstances."
